International experience shows that well-managed marinas can enhance ecosystems through improved water quality, habitat restoration, and shoreline protection — outcomes that Zimbali Vision 2030 seeks to imagine responsibly.

The Zimbali Country Estate

Positioned across the N2 from Zimbali Lakes, the Zimbali Country Estate is envisioned as a new countryside living precinct offering a diverse range of residential opportunities — from one-hectare Gentleman’s Estates and farm-style plots to more accessible residential sites.

Imagined as an agriculture-integrated estate, the concept embraces sustainable land use, open space, and a secure, modern estate framework — offering a contrasting but complementary lifestyle to coastal living.

The Zimbali Country Estate is envisioned to broaden access to land ownership, support food security initiatives, and create a new layer of lifestyle diversity within the greater Zimbali master plan.

Together, the Zimbali Marina and Zimbali Country Estate represent an imagined R50 billion long-term vision, creating a potential 20-year development pipeline and positioning the North Coast as one of South Africa’s most compelling mixed-use destinations.
